For those who may not be aware, Hurricane Helene has left Western North Carolina facing catastrophic destruction. The storm triggered severe flooding, landslides, and widespread and unprecedented damage across the region. Entire towns have been submerged or wiped out, with homes, businesses, and infrastructure severely damaged if not completely destroyed. Roads, bridges, and power lines have been demolished, complicating rescue and recovery efforts. Full recovery will take years. We have been heartbroken by the devastating impact Hurricane Helene had on the people and communities of Western North Carolina. We know the need is great so we have taken the past week to speak with people currently working in Western North Carolina to decide how we can best help. We are teaming up with those on the ground bringing specific needs to these communities. Our sister venue, @merrimonwynne in Raleigh, North Carolina is hosting a fall festival where 100% of the ticket sales and money raised will be donated to support essential needs in these small, hard-hit communities. Additionally, Heyens Hospitality is committing to matching the first $10,000 raised from the festival and you can help us amplify our efforts by donating at the link in our stories so we can match—and hopefully surpass—our $10,000 commitment.
